joves navegants
With more than 30 years of history, the Fundació Joves Navegants begins a new stage that expands its action without losing its purpose.
Since 1992, the foundation has worked to bring sailing to young people as an educational tool, promoting inclusion and personal growth. Three decades of experience have allowed them to consolidate their own model where the sea is not just a backdrop, but a living methodology at the service of education, social cohesion, and human development.
The sea is understood as a space for genuine learning. An environment that fosters autonomy, teamwork, responsibility, and respect. A cultural heritage that connects generations. A meeting point where people from diverse backgrounds share experience, purpose, and community.
This new phase reinforces that commitment and expands the foundation's reach, strengthening alliances, promoting programs with greater social impact, and opting for a course consistent with the values of sustainability and responsibility that are essential today.
The restoration of the Galaxie, a historic sailing ship rebuilt and adapted to modern standards, symbolizes that continuity between past and future. A vessel that represents memory, identity, and evolution.
The purpose remains the same: to open opportunities, build community, and support personal transformation processes through navigation.
The sea remains the center.

“IF THE SEA BELONGS TO EVERYONE, SO DOES KNOWLEDGE”
YOUNG NAVIGATORS FOUNDATION
Our boats as a differentiating factor
The Galaxie sailboat, after its restoration and conversion by TrueWorld , is embarking on a new chapter aligned with the innovation and sustainability that define the foundation. Thanks to its 100% electric propulsion system, all its activities are carried out with zero emissions, sailing in harmony with the sea and demonstrating that nautical decarbonization is possible, inspiring, and educational. This transformation makes it a true platform for ecological transition where education, technology, and environmental commitment advance together.
The addition of Stenella, a 12-meter solar-electric vessel donated by Ocean Observer , reinforces this commitment to sustainable innovation. Powered by solar energy, it has been transformed into a floating climate change station that combines navigation, environmental monitoring, scientific sampling, and citizen science. With it, the foundation expands its impact by connecting education, research, and climate action in a single project focused on the challenges of the Mediterranean.
Finally, the Barracuda submarine, provided by Barracuda , introduces children to the fascinating underwater world through workshops and educational activities. On board, young explorers can observe marine life and learn about its conservation while enjoying a unique experience. Its electric propulsion allows for silent and respectful navigation, discovering the sea without leaving a trace.
