Fundació Joves Navegants at the Palma International Boat Show 2026
Palma, May 2026 – Fundació Joves Navegants concluded its participation in the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS)2026 with its LOVE THE MEDITERRANEAN initiative, reinforcing its commitment to education, science and social action through the sea.
Over four days at the Superyacht Village, the Foundation’s space became a living laboratory where educational workshops, scientific experiences and activities designed to bring the sea closer to everyone came together within the framework of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science.

Innovation and the Blue Economy: Galaxie Leading the Way
The 100% electric training sailing yacht Galaxie was one of the highlights of the event. Visitors had the opportunity to discover its technology and electric conversion process first-hand, exploring new approaches to sustainable sailing and the professional opportunities emerging within the blue economy.
Institutional, Sporting and Business Support
The project received broad support from public institutions and representatives of the nautical, business and sporting sectors. Public and private stakeholders highlighted the importance of the initiative in advancing the energy transition, fostering innovation and educating new generations.
Support came from public institutions, European representatives, sporting organisations and companies from the maritime and tourism sectors, all sharing a common vision for a more sustainable Mediterranean that is accessible to everyone.
Education with Impact: Science, Biodiversity and Shared Experiences
The programme included marine biodiversity workshops, hands-on science activities and sensory experiences designed to make knowledge about the sea practical, engaging and accessible.
One of the most meaningful activities was a nautical knot-tying workshop held together with Hadas Kids, Amar Ucraïna and Fundación Juan XXIII, using maritime tradition to encourage participation, teamwork and a shared connection with the sea.
The immersive Mediterranean Sound experience added a sensory dimension to the programme, creating new ways for people to discover and connect with the marine environment.

Art and Environmental Awareness
The MARE photography exhibition, presented in collaboration with Fundación Marilles, offered an artistic perspective on the Balearic marine ecosystem, strengthening the connection between science, culture and environmental awareness.
Looking Ahead
“At this year’s PIBS, we showed that the sea can be our greatest classroom and a powerful tool for social transformation,” the Foundation said.
With the support of the Regional Ministry of Business, Self-Employed Workers and Energy, Fundació Joves Navegants now begins its sailing season, bringing its commitment to sustainability, science and access to the sea to different parts of the Balearic Islands.
The Foundation would like to thank all the partners, sponsors and institutions that made this edition possible, reaffirming its commitment to a cleaner, more accessible and more conscious Mediterranean.
